Mini Sticks.
Welcome to the first session of Melton Hockey Club’s Mini Sticks!
My name is Melissa and I am coordinating Mini Sticks this year. I’ve been playing hockey since I was eight years old (some 25 years now). I play in our Victoria League 2 team at Melton Hockey Club as a defender. I’ve been playing for Melton Hockey Club for most of my 25 years and love the family nature of our club.

Hockey is a great team sport and a wonderful way for the children to meet new people and make friends. In our Mini Sticks sessions we will include; skill development, building teamwork, playing mini games and much more!

Hockey is usually played in Autumn and Winter, so that means we will be training in all types of weather. Please make sure your child/ren comes readily prepared for our unpredictable weather with a hat and/or a jacket.
It is advisable for all players to be wearing shin guards and mouth guards, where possible, as well as clothing and shoes appropriate for running. Please make sure you bring a full drink bottle (labelled) that can be placed on the side of the field for easy access during the session. We also require an adult to be present close by on the sidelines (not in a vehicle) during the whole session.

Mini Sticks will be running for 18 sessions this year, 17 session will be held on a Thursday night and the 18th session being a part of an Under 10 Junior Carnival for those who want to participate.

Session 18 – Under 10 Junior Carnival, Saturday 29th August

The sessions will run for 55 minutes. Beginning at 6pm and concluding at 6:55pm.
